Can a girl be a girl's best friend?

Can a girl be a girl`s best friend? Yes, I do agree with this question and support it. Even I am a girl and have a girl as my best friend. Many people are of the opinion that a girl can never be a best friend of a girl. I strongly oppose this thought of theirs.
I am of the belief that a girl can never have a best friend other than a girl. She cannot rely upon a boy simply like that. If one has a boy as their best friend then they will have to dress, behave and even do everything according to them. But on the other hand if someone has a girl as best friend then one need not have to do all those artificial things. One will be what she is and enjoy more with her.
Being a girl and having girl as a best friend one can think of joy, fun and can express herself with no regret. A girl can share all small and big issues with her girlfriends. A good girlfriend will be there with you every time to guide you all the time and correct you whenever you are wrong. When you are with your friend you forget the whole world. Friendship is that relation which continues forever. Two girls often gossip more maliciously in comparison to their male friends.
It is true that girls are little bit silly and may fight for silly reasons. One may also have a fight with their friend but that fight does not last for a long period, because friendship has such a bond without which true friends can never live. They get habituated to each other.
If one has a guy as a friend then all the time one will have to talk on the topics which they feels interesting, but on the other hand if one has a girl as a best friend then one can simply talk on any topic, whether meaningful or meaningless. One has to be more careful while talking to a guy.
A guy after few years forgets the friendship whereas a girl never forgets. It is in the nature of a girl that she is meant to keep the all types of relationship forever. I have completed my graduation long back and after having completed my graduation I am still in contact with my best friends and we keep on searching for chances to meet each other.
It is said that a girl can`t keep anything secret, but I don`t agree. If two girls are best friends, they will keep even a small secret relating to each other within themselves and won`t disclose it ever to anyone. Those two friends will stand anytime to support each other.
Even after marriage two girls can remain best friends. One can still share their secrets with their which won`t be disclosed to others not even the husband if the situation demands. One cannot expect long lasting friendship from a boy after marriage. They will change due to increased responsibilities on them.
