Shreya: I think great footwear adds a lot of oomph to your dress.

Shreya: Espadrilles are also called beach shoes. They have plaited fiber soles and don't have heels.

Flip-flops are also referred to as thongs or straps. They are popular during summer time and are fixed by plugs that lock into holes in the sole.

Hiking or walking boots are normal sports footwear. Companies like Nike, Reebok and Woodland make sports and hiking shoes.

Sandals are made of leather or other material. Sandals upper sole consists of straps that cross the instep.

Moccasins are made of single piece of material to form the sole.

Neoprene footwear can be worn while playing water sports. Neoprene footwear is covered with textile on both sides. If the upper has no textile covering, or it's covered only on one side, then it's classified as being made of rubber.

Sandals - the front part of the upper (the vamp) consists either of straps or of material with one or more pieces cut out of it.

Slippers are indoor footwear such as ballet slippers ballroom dancing shoes or bathroom slippers. Its outer sole is made of plastic or rubber.
