Jaya: Hi! How are you?
Shreya: I`m fine.
Jaya: Howz your toddler doing?
Shreya: My baby is doing great.
Jaya: How old is your baby?
Shreya: My child is 6 months.
Jaya: You`ve lost pregnancy weight. Now you`re back in shape. How did yu get back in shape?
Shreya: I`ve joined yoga classes, gyms, exercise a lot and eat healthy food to lose post- pregnancy weight.
Jaya: That`s great. You look fitter than ever.
Shreya: I`m really worried about the stretch mark. What should I do?
Jaya: The way you`ve lost weight; you can get rid of stretch marks too.
Shreya: Massage the area with stretch marks three to four times a day with moisturizers. Moisturizer hydrates the skin, making it more pliant.
Apply self-tanner to minimize the appearance of stretch marks.
Stretch mark creams are available in the market. Apply these creams on the stretch marks for plain smooth skin.
Microdermabrasion, chemical peel, and in laser treatments can be used to treat stretch marks.
Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated. Hydrated skin remains soft, supple, and less likely to develop stretch marks. Avoid caffeinated coffee, tea, and soda that dehydrates the skin making it more vulnerable to stretch marks.
