Soumya: I can manage hair care, eye make-up and skin care. But when it comes to lips, I'm quite a nerd.
Genelia: Pouty, fuller and naturally pink healthy lips enhance the beauty of women. Lips are a symbol of sensuality and sexuality. When it comes to lip make-up then lipsticks are widely used cosmetic for lips. Lipsticks are available in different shades like red, pink, brown or matt colors are a craze amongst the women. Now the lipsticks are available in traditional tubes, pots, pencils, and even wands with innovative designs.
Outline the lips with lip liner to clearly define the shape of lips. Lip liner gives perfect shape to the lips, define their shape and make lips appear thinner or fuller. Remember to choose a shade darker than the shade of the lipstick.
Soumya: Ok. Tell me steps to apply lipstick.
Genelia: Apply foundation and powder on lips before applying lipsticks. Outline lips with a lip liner pencil.
To apply lip liner on the upper lips, start from the centre towards the corner of the mouth. and for the lower lip, work from side to side.
Use brush to fill the lipsticks. Put some lipstick into the brush and fill along the outline of the lips and then into the corners.
For longer durability apply two coats of lipstick. Press the lips after first coat on a tissue paper and then apply the other coat.
If you're going for night parties and functions then give extra shine and gleaming look to your lips using lip loss, Vaseline or cream.
