`Look here, madam`, `Smile, please`.. Videos are an inescapable part of a wedding ceremony. So, what should you look for when choosing a video cameraperson?
Similar to choosing a photographer, it is best to go with recommendations from family and friends. Look through tapes for quality, styles and formats that you like. While interviewing the videographer, keep the following in mind:
Does the video package include titles, narration, background music, close-up shots and interviews with family and guests?
Check whether creative options are possible and if the tapes can be packaged professionally.
Ask whether interviews can be interspersed throughout the tape.
Obtain an itemised agreement that lists everything included in the package and the total cost.
Find out whether a deposit is required.
The manner in which an over time is handled.
The period up to which reservations can be made.
The kind of camera equipment that will be used.
Whether there will be sufficient light while shooting the ceremony.
Whether the photographer is familiar with the wedding site.
Whether copy of the output will be on videotape (VHS) or on CD.
