THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY - You are an assertive person and somewhat dominant? Then a more dominant dog is the one for you! You will be able to handle and control big dogs as it would directly reflect on your nature to feel proud and prestigious about a pet that will accompany you to any of those social picnics! It would be prudent to focus on a breed that doesn`t need you to groom him much as you would rather order and not serve! A hairy dog is a no-no for you! You should concentrate on having a breed that rates from moderate to good on height, weight and bulkiness. But also keep in mind the impact of activity on size, especially when you bring your `Hercules` indoors! (We even gave your pet a name, didn`t we!)
RECOMMENDED BREEDS : German Shepherd, Alsatian, Doberman, Great Dane and Dalmatian.
THE BALLET DANCER - You have a right mix of friendliness and secrecy. Like a ballet dancer doing her balancing act, you believe in doing your own thing and gracefully mixing it with quality time spent with meaningful friends/family. You have the skill sets to handle a moderately solitary or a solitary breed, as your quieter lifestyle will suit that type of dog. Though you may prefer a submissive breed you are capable of handling dogs that are dominant as the assertiveness and strong will that you display in your social life will help you handle a breed that may deserve some authority from you! If you have children between 3 and 15, a dog with a good rate of playfulness and rating moderately to low on height, weight and bulkiness is ideal for you!
RECOMMENDED BREEDS: Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd, Boykin Spaniel
THE AVERAGE JANE - You are right in the middle of the balance scale! There are some social situations you enjoy and others you would rather avoid! The most dominant or the most submissive breed will prove a great challenge to you, as handling extreme situations are not your cup of tea! Your preference would be to have a dog of the breed, size, height and weight of your own liking, rather than something your family or friends recommend. You may even live in a house that has ample free space for a big dog, but a smaller one that follows you wherever you go like Mary`s little lamb is your perfect friend for life!
RECOMMENDED BREEDS: Chihuahua, Maltese, Pekinese and Poodle.
THE TOUCH-ME-NOT GIRL - You are shy to the extent of not having enough confidence to shape up your social skills. Your shyness however does not dampen your desire to have a social circle of your own. You like company but you don`t know how to develop one! A solitary breed is not for you! Sociable dogs can help you come out of your shell. Handling a dog that can make friends easily with your neighbours will pave the way for you to develop your confidence to interact with them! Also learn how to groom your dog, as you will need it in order to understand them better!
RECOMMENDED BREEDS: English Cocker Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Chow-Chow and Fox Terrier.
