In case there is more than one cat, keep separate bowls for them. Bathing time: Cats generally are averse to having a bath. Give a bath only when the coat is dirty or matted. A bath can be given when cats have ticks or fleas. Always use warm water and a mild shampoo. Give a bath preferably in a bath tub or a sink. Place familiar-smelling items, such as T-shirts you've worn and not washed, in a cardboard box, then place the box in your yard, as far away from the house as possible. Regularly check for your cat in the cardboard box late at night and early in the morning.
