More household hints

Leather purse:

Is your leather purse dirty? Apply a little olive oil and leave it on for 30 minutes. Then rub with a clean cotton cloth, the dirt will disappear.

Insect trouble:

If insects are a constant trouble for your indoor plants, soak neem leaves in hot water and leave it over night. In the morning, sprinkle some on the plants. Insects will keep distance.

Clean vessels:

Mix a handful of salt with washing powder and scrub vessels with this mixture. They will get clean and shiny.

Microwave oven:

Do food odours remain in your microwave oven or loosen the hardened food particles from the sides? Place one cup of diluted lemon juice in a glass plate. Set on High. Keep the oven on for 10 minutes or until the lemon juice comes to a boil. The steam loosens the food particles and the lemon removes the food smell.
