Flower Arrangements

Four types of flowers are used in a flower arrangement: line, mass, form and filler.
While line materials form the size and shape of the arrangement, mass materials like Carnations, Roses and Mums, give the arrangement weight and bulk. Form materials like Lilies, Anthuriums and Orchids, establish the focal point. Filler is used to make the arrangement full and abundant without being crowded.
