This generic didanosine (ddI), a once a day therapy to treat HIV has gained considerable media coverage as the first generic HIV medication. The generic formulation of didanosine delayed release capsules will be available in the US and in foreign countries in 200mg, 250mg and 400mg dosages for treatment of HIV. Barr Laboratories has immediate plans to launch this generic medication for HIV/AIDS as soon as possible.
