A relief from the unhealthy carbonated drinks, Health Drinks are not just a way to enjoy some fresh fruits, but a good way to add a whole lot of nutrition to your diet. The rage of the carbonated beverages in the recent times has left behind irreparable scars like damage of your digestive system, obesity just to cite a few. So if you are a responsible parent or an individual, go ahead and introduce the healthy vegetable and fruit drinks in your home. The greatest advantage about these fruit juices or shakes is that they are not only economical and easy to make, but that all of these drinks, add a touch of warmth and refreshment to the heart of all. A great concoction of fruits like pineapple and kiwi, Maori Shake is a hot favorite with both the young and the old. In order to make a glass of Maori Shake, take slices of pineapple, kiwifruits which are peeled and washed well, a teaspoon of lime juice and milk or fresh yoghurt, as you desire. You first need to extract fresh juice out of the pineapple slices. Separately repeat the same with the kiwi fruits. If you want a mix of sweet and soury taste, use yoghurt as the base or else you can always use milk with a dash of fresh cream. If you are serving Maori Shake, during summers always go for yoghurt, which is not only a good refreshment but also a good way to ward off the heat. Now to make the Maori Shake, put all ingredients in the blender, and mix till a good foam is seen. Finally serve the Maori Shake with crushed ice. Garnish with some kiwi fruits and some mint leaves. As for the nutritional value of this drink, Maori Shake is easy to digest because of the presence of pineapple. Again due to kiwi fruit, it is rich in vitamins and potassium. A good antioxidant, Maori Shake can also delay your old age.
