Do women take more time to overcome fear?

Regardless of the gender, everyone fears something or the other. Fear, one of the primitive human emotions is completely normal. Since years, this feeling has been protecting the human race from danger. While our ancestors feared wild animals, people today have complicated their life with hundreds of other things with change in the lifestyle. Some people fear losing money, while some fear over lost relationships. Some people even fear of being defied of the basic necessities of life like food and shelter.

When god created the earth, he made women to be more sensitive and emotional creature as compared to men. It is a well known fact that women are more receptive to any kind of emotional situation. They have many issues going over their mind as compared to men. Women always tend to over think a particular situation, analysing it, weighing it over other issues, worrying about the outcomes and the events to follow. Apart from this, women also have several insecurities inside them, like fear of rejection, fear of unacceptability, fear of relationships, fear of career and fear of loneliness.

Males have a relatively clear thinking. They worry about only the basics like the food, money and career. They have relatively less emotional reception, and more physical endurance. That is why they are able to think rationally and come up with a solution. Rather than over thinking and cross analysing a particular situation, men tend to be more impulsive and spontaneous.

However, the fact that women take more time to overcome fear cannot be denied. Their life is full of relationships, be it with parents, children, spouse, uncle, aunt, neighbours and others. Women constantly live under the fear of losing one or other. As the same time, they do not want to compromise them with their career. The drive to do something in their life and establishing their own identity, somehow imbibes the fear of losing relationships in them. Basically, women fear the sense of safety. While, on the other hand, men fear the sense of capability.

While the women feel threatened all the time, it is natural for men to feel incompetent. They are like the different sides of the same coin. Men fear losing their job which makes them work harder and strive to push their limits all the time. Money and the sense of power provide men with a sense of elation. While women constantly fear over different issues in life like relationships, pregnancy, labour, money, food, career, home etc.

Blame it to the years of female role as a homemaker and male role as the bread winner, they have adapted to his role very well; each striving to excel in their own roles. Women have more fears in their life which makes it obvious that they take more time to overcome their fears. Whereas men are physically and mentally strong which helps them find ways to be calmer in stressful situations hence they overcome fear quite easily.
