Homemade Remedies to Reduce Flab

Due to a hectic schedule in this fast paced life, most of us simply don`t have time to spend 2 hours a day in the gym. Some of us even don`t even pay heed to our diet and eat food right out of the box. Though an easier lifestyle, what we don`t realize that these unhealthy habits will have adverse effects on our health. Due to lack of nutritious food and regular exercise, our bodies become more prone to obesity that paves way for other diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac problems and many more.

To get rid of additional body fat, one should exercise daily and eat healthy. Some home remedies to combat obesity are enlisted below:

Burn calories. Walk or run everyday for at least 30 minutes. Yoga is also very beneficial.

Honey, very conveniently found on most kitchen shelves, is a great home remedy for reducing fat. It helps in mobilizing the additional fat deposited in the body, enabling it to be utilized in the form of energy. One teaspoon of honey mixed with two teaspoons of lime juice in a glass of water should be taken everyday.

Having five small meals during the day is more beneficial than having three large ones. All  meals should be taken in an interval of 2-3 hours.

Drinking a glass of boiled water after each meal works wonders.

Quantity of fruits and raw vegetables should be increased. One must eat salad twice a day and three different kinds of seasonal fruits during the day.

Avoid dairy products (butter, ghee, cheese), meats and food that comes with high calorie content.
Potatoes and rice have high amount of carbohydrates, so it`s best that one keeps away from them.

Make it a point to drink a glass of milk everyday.

Mint aids in shedding off those extra pounds. One can add it to salads, vegetables or  simply eat chutneys made of mint.
Guggulu is another herb that helps reduce weight. This herb, easily found in the market, is great for regulating the metabolism which facilitates fat loss. It is of note that this herb should not be consumed alone itself. Rather be mixed with ginger and honey (one teaspoonful each) and taken twice a day.

Ginger, black pepper and cinnamon are the spices that shakes off extra flab. Ginger tea with a pinch of cinnamon powder should be taken 2-3 times daily. Add black pepper to salads, fruits and even lime water.

Triphala is a herbal mixture of amalaki, haritaki and bibbitaki. Before going to sleep, one should swallow a teaspoonful of triphala powder with warm water thrice a week.

Cabbage is of great importance in weight reduction as it restricts the carbohydrates to convert into fats. One can eat it either raw or cooked.

Mix mint, coriander leaves, roasted cumin seeds, black pepper and some grated ginger in buttermilk and have it during lunch.

Coconut water, lemon tea and fresh vegetable soups are also great for those trying to lose weight.

One should never skip a meal as it only negatively impacts the body.
