Snacks are very delicious and mouthwatering and healthy snack recipes are very much in demand for the increase in the health consciousness among the people.

Some of the popular healthy snacks are lip smacking and can be consumed in between lunch and dinners. Kids snack recipes can be prepared in a healthy manner so that they are healthy and contain low calorie. Several snack ideas are shared by chefs allover the world to make sure people lead a healthy life. In some metropolitans there are some healthy snack bars where healthy snacks are available.

One of the popular snack food recipes is "aaloo tikki".

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil
  • 4 potatos
  • 2 green chillis
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 small ginger piece
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds roasted
  • Salt to taste
Methods:

All potatoes should be boiled and mixed with all the ingredients except oil. Then the mashed potatoes should be made into balls and then flattened in the form of patties. 1/2spoons of oil should be heated in a pan on medium heat. The tikkis should be placed on the pan and cooked for 15 minutes. The tikkis should be fried till golden brown and served hot.

Try out bhel puri which is one of the healthy recipes that can be cooked at home. This is one of the snack food recipes that is mouthwatering and is cholesterol free. Among all the healthy snacks recipes, this can be cooked within 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Puffed rice or rice pops or rice bubbles, 1 cup
  • Coriander (cilantro) leaves, finely chopped, 1/2 cup
  • Paapri or fat free biscuits or fat free rice crackers coarsely crushed.
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • Potato, boiled and finely chopped, 1/2 cup
  • Garam masala, 1 tspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chili, 2, finely chopped
  • Onion finely chopped, 1/2 cup
  • Garlic, 1 clove, finely chopped
  • Tamrind paste, 1 Tbsp.
  • Amchoor (Mango powder), 2 tspn (Optional)
  • Red chili powder, 1 tspn
  • Fresh lime juice, 1 tspn
Methods:

Bake a chapatti or roti in oven to make it crisp. Fat free biscuits can be used to avoid paapris. All ingredients should be mixed well before the bhel puris are served. All these above mentioned healthy snacks recipes have low calorie content and are delicious to eat.
