Healers with a difference
That their hopes are not unfounded is something we realise when we hear the accounts of some mentally challenged Reiki healers. Their interpretation of Reiki is unbiased by theory. A student gives a very simplistic account of her procedure, she says that she thanks herself, Reiki and the patient in the attitude of gratitude. Then takes the name of the patient, making sure that the energy reaches him, and then places her hands on the affected part. She then imagines a white light and gives Reiki, she then feels her hands becoming hot and the patient feels better.
What might help her to be a very effective healer is her total acceptance of simple instructions like, ' don't lie if you want to give Reiki'. Her faith is uncomplicated by doubts and rationalisations. Her faith is strengthened by her personal experiences with Reiki, and miraculous cures that she has experienced. Being able to help someone also makes one happy. These children who, from their childhood have been mostly brought up to feel dependant and helpless get great joy on being actually able to DO something for other people by taking away their aches and pains.
Some of these healers have gone beyond the first levels of training and are able to give distance healing. Indeed one of those who we consider mentally challenged recounts how she uses Reiki to change people's minds.
Being mentally challenged now can be a less afflicting condition, all we need is a little faith.
