Bone degeneration is one of the biggest problems which arise with old age and aging. This happens as soon as osteoporosis sets in. This starts to happen after 40 in women and a little later in men. Hence you should take in calcium supplements along with your food so that your bones are strong and the degeneration process is slowed down to a great extent.

With age your health tends to suffer hence you should go to regular doctor check ups so that you can stay healthy and be aware of your body condition. You can know whether your health is in a good or bad state. Hence for old age you should get medical insurance done for yourself so that you can pay for your unforeseen medical emergencies when you are old and not earning. There are old age homes too nowadays which support aged people when they are in the old and infirm state.

With age comes many problems one of them being the psychological problem. One starts to suffer from dementia, alzheimers disease and delirium and depression. Victims in these kinds of diseases suffer from memory loss and starts behaving in a childish manner and lose other abilities like doing their own work by themselves that is why we call this stage the second childhood. But you can keep your health problems at bay for a long time as you start aging with simple ways of eating right and exercising.

With old age come problems like diabetes, digestion problems, heart diseases and others. But you will be glad to know that with a little discipline you will be able to achieve a great health and ensuring a rocking old age for yourself. You will have to eat right. For example: include a lot of green vegetables in your diet and has lots of water. Try and avoid having food which is high in fat or cholesterol content. You can consult your doctor and make a diet chart for yourself so that you can maintain a balanced diet for yourself.

Along with a healthy diet you should try and exercise regularly. A 30 minutes schedule of physical activity should be regularly done. Exercise helps to reduce weight keep your heart strong and rejuvenate your mind as well as your body. You should do some light exercises or brisk walking which ever suits you. Along with exercise you should keep in mind that you have to stop the intake of alcohol. Alcohol is bad for your health especially at this stage of your life. You should also cut down on smoking if you do because whatever you might do to improve your health because of your age, alcohol and smoking can only negate all those good effects.
