Be sincere and friendly. Don't give him the impression that you are faking it big time! Smile at him as he walks by. The special attention and obvious appreciation might be all you need to do. Don't gawk. Staring at someone will not get his attention, except in a negative way. Try to keep the staring and stalking to a minimum! If you get to talk to him, keep your appreciation of his Adonis-like features or body to yourself - anything you say will probably sound cheesy. On the other hand, you could compliment him on the situation at hand. For example, tell him he has some great skills on the dance floor. Try not to be too extravagant, though, like saying you 'love' something of his. Simple, straightforward compliments are the best and leave little room for misinterpretation. Remember, use compliments sparingly lest you come off as insincere. Don't try to impress too much - just be who you are and let your genuine appreciation shine through while you're being yourself. Everyone enjoys the right kind of attention and appreciation - so give it freely if it's real. If it's someone you know well enough, simply say "I'm glad I got to meet you". Don't forget that acting normal is the most important thing of all. Don't get weird and try to be smooth. Just say "Hi", "What's up?" or be up front like " I saw you the minute you walked in " - but keep your cool.
So, you think that guy across the hall is cute. Or, a cute guy has just entered the café. What do you do? Just gape with your mouth hanging open? Think of all the clever witty things you might have said, later that evening and curse yourself for being such a funk? Or get all gushy and say everything that comes to your head at that point and simply scare the living day lights out of the poor guy?
Well, you could try some straightforward stuff. Here are some suggestions. Arm yourself with a couple and go get the guy!!
Oh, by the way, there is one more thing. Tell a man that he makes you laugh... all men like to think they have a great sense of humour.
