Since the time that you gain your senses, and you play around in your neighborhood, the memories that you have are of your parents, of your neighbors and of your friends. A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, is mainly a story about Dito, an emerging author living in L.A. He is called back to his hometown of Astoria, Queens, New York, when his father falls seriously ill. He returns to his roots after 15 long years, to discover a whole bunch of changed people. His friends who were together known by the name of Saints, are far from what they used to be. In a flashback sequence, we are made to know about Dito, his four closest friends and his girl friend, Laurie.
