It is while telling his life story at the bus stand that Forrest gets Jenny 's letter . There was her address in the letter. He goes to her and her son. Jenny is sick. She dies leaving their son to Forrest. At the end we witness how both the son and the father expresses their love for each other. It is at this point that the feather kept inside the pages of his book blows away reflecting the starting point of the story. Forrest Gump saw a tremendous profit of six hundred seventy seven US dollar. It received the prestigious award of Best Picture.
