This is one of the major kind of complications of food poisoning which is caused by the infection caused by many organisms. These are the micro-organisms which cause ailments like diarrhea and vomiting. Other than these illness they may also cause the serious problems of the body like abrupt abortion or even death. The children can show the Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome a disease of the children can be caused by the infection caused by a particular kind of bacteria. This particular kind of bacteria is called E, coli, O157: H7. This particular kind of Bacteria can even cause renal failure wyhich in turn causes an ultimate end of the life of the patient.

Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS is one of the complications of food poisoning which can affect mainly the young children not more than 10 years in age. This is also the main cause of non-functioning of the excretory organ of the human body. An infant may become infected by Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS after the intake of contaminated foods like the following
  • Raw Sprouts
  • Unpasturized apple cider or apple juice
  • Meat especially unscientifically cooked meat
The symptoms of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS
A patient suffering from one of the complications of food poisoining, Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS may show the following symptoms:
  • Diarrhea with blood
  • Dull pain in the abdominal region
  • Vomiting
Among all the cases of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS ony a very meagre 5 to 10 percent cases display the symptoms for a prolonged period of 2 to 6 days. There are some cases where a patient has shown the symptoms of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS for a long period of 15 days. Some cases of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS are also fatal. Among all the cases of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS only a 3 to 45 cases are fatal. There are also some other symptoms of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS. These other symptoms of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS include the following
  • Pallor
  • Irritability
  • Lethargy
  • High fever
The disease of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome or HUS progresses until the excretory organs of the human become infected and these become unsuitable for removing the waste product from the blood and could not remove them through the urine passed out from the body. This state of renal failure is also known as acute renal failure. If the blood circulation system of the human body is seriously affected, a major decrease in the supply of red blood cells and blood platelets affect the human body in a major way by reducing the rate of blood flow to the major organs of the human body. This want of blood in the different parts of the human body cause multiple organ failure.
