
This is an all time favourite dessert. So easy to prepare and great to taste.
Ingredients :
For the pastry- Butter - 80 gms
- Flour - 150 gms
- Cold water - 45 ml.
- For the custard
- Banana custard - 30 gms
- Sugar - 40 gms
- Milk - 600 ml
- Cream - 30 ml
- Bananas - 3 numbers
- Lemon jelly - 1 packet
Cream - 150 ml
Method :
Cut butter into small pieces and rub into the flour with finger tips until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle water over the pastry and knead until dough is just moist enough to hold together. Form into a ball, roll out into a circle with your hands. Put it in a pie dish and make a neat design by shaping the edges. Prick this piecrust with a fork and microwave on high for 7 minutes and turn the dish after 3 minutes. The pie should slide out easily. Make the banana custard like normal custard, cool and spread over the pastry shell evenly. Slice the bananas and arrange over the custard. Make the jelly according to packet instructions and pour a thin layer over the bananas and chill for 15 minutes. Decorate with cream.
