WHEAT RAVA IDLI

Soak the Bengal gram in hot water for 30 minutes. Soak the wheat sooji also in water. Drain the water after 30 minutes. Add chillies and ginger to the Bengal gram and grind it very coarsely. Add this to the wheat sooji. Add the cut vegetables and salt to the wheat sooji and mix the contents thoroughly. Grease the idli plates with a little oil. Pour this on greased idli plates and steam cook till done. Serve hot with onion chutney.
RAW MANGO RICE

Mustard seeds1 tspChanna dal1 tspUrad dal1 tspAsafoetida powder a pinchGroundnuts2 tspCurry leavesa fewOil4 tsp
Grind mango, coconut, red chillies, salt and mustard seeds to a coarse paste. Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds and fry dal. Add groundnuts and asafoetida powder and fry them well. Add the ground paste and fry for a while on a low flame, just to remove the moisture in the paste. Add this to the rice mixed with turmeric powder; mix well and serve hot.
