Ingredients:

Moong dal (whole green gram)1/4 cupCummin seeds1/4 tspButter or Ghee1 blobWater2 cupsAsafoetida1 pinchTurmeric1 big pinchSalt and pepper to taste Lime juiceto taste

Method: Pressure-cook moong dal till very soft. Keep aside 1 tbsp boiled whole dal. Blend the rest after cooling. In a pan, heat the butter and add cummin seeds. When they splutter add asafoetida and the blended moong. Add salt, turmeric, lime and pepper. Boil for 5-7 minutes. Add boiled whole dal. Boil till thick. Serve hot.
