It is a misconception that spraying scent on your clothes will maximize your scent. It can have an adverse effect of staining your clothes and you might end up smelling the same every time. Also many of you may be spraying your perfume under your armpits, but that doesn`t really enhance your scent. Instead layer your perfume by using an antiperspirant or deodorant on your underarm having a similar smell or from the same range of perfumes.
There are various versions of the same fragrance available in the market. When buying the scent, decide the occasion and the number of hours you want it to last. For instance Eau de Parfum can last up to six hours, Eau de Toilette spray can last 2 to 4 hours, while Eau de Cologne or deodorant last about 2 hours.

Fine Tune Your Fragrance

You most probably know this that to get most out of your perfume, you need to apply it at pulse points. The reason is that our pulse points generate heat and accentuate the notes in the perfume. So the ideal places to apply your fragrance is on your wrists, behind the ears, base of your throat and temples, and cleavage. Since fragrance rises, you can also spray on the crease of your elbow, the back of your knees and your ankles.
Spray the scent onto your pulse points by holding the bottle at a distance of 15 centimeters and allow it to dry on its own -- do not rub your skin after spritzing as this will damage the delicate notes in the fragrance and alter the smell.
A great way to make the scent last longer is by "layering" the fragrance. On the days you need to create a subtle effect, use the same brand of shower gel, body lotion and deodorant, before applying your perfume. In case you do not feel like investing so much on the whole gamut of products then buy your body wash and deodorant that have similar notes or fall in similar fragrance category. Otherwise you can go for the other product with that are odor-free or have very mild scent. Finally, when you are ready to step out for the hot valentine date, just spray your fragrance into the air to create a misty cloud and walk through it to let the tiny droplets settle on you. And your scent will waft after you as your drift by your beau, obviously drugging him and dragging him along.
