Sporting the right apparel The dress code for work may exist but knowing how to get around it is a skill that some men have mastered very successfully. These are the men you've noticed, looking suave and debonair at any given time of the day. Clothes for men do seem a bit limited in choice but very little else, can be done unless you're open to skirts. But if done right, there is one thing your clothes can spell out for you - CLASS.

Mix dress shirts or dress trousers, with more casual-styled tops and bottoms. This lets you feel professional without being too conservative. Having one of the two look formal is a great style idea.

If you want to make your clothes give you a better build, however, wear a jacket over your dress shirt and tie.

Ties add an impeccable touch of finesse, don't miss out on this accessory.

An evening out? The code is a dark suit and white shirt. An extremely dark brown suit is acceptable but not button-down shirts and brown shoes.

If you are wearing a double-breasted jacket, keep it buttoned or you might look too large.

Keep your fingers free of rings; a wedding band is acceptable but nothing else, please. Diamonds are great, but only as gifts to the women.

A suit with a two-button jacket and slim pants with one pleat is an excellent silhouette. Also it doesn't go out of fashion.

Make sure your sleeves are tailored so some shirt cuff will show or you'll look like a kid playing dress-up.

Manicured nails look overdone but clean nails are undoubtedly assets.

Grey hair is in; all the celebrities are sporting it. If you don't have age on your side, ignore those silver strands and just wear your hair really short. It's very male. And keep off, spikes; they're not very fashionable.

To develop that truly debonair air, just dress right. Put on your best and forget all about it.
