The are times in an individuals life when they feel low, or perceive themselves to be boring and sadly feel they can never be beautiful. Looking gorgeous is a state of mind. all that an individual needs to do is make some changes in their lifestyle, wardrobe , skin care etc to achieve a look that will boost their self confidence.
In such cases a basic wardrobe makeover can not only improve their mood but also boost their self esteem. Here are some basic wardrobe tips.
Analyze your wardrobe from time to time and clear out the clutter. Any garment which has not been worn in 6 months (exception embroidered/ heavy work saris, & salwar kameez) is probably not going to be worn at all.
Develop your wardrobe by piecing to-gether the items you already own with new purchases. This creates an organized wardrobe with less clothing but more outfits to wear.
Your wardrobe should be organized according to your lifestyle & personality. For example it is no use if you invest in evening wear if you do not lead an active social life.
Trends keep changing & thus have a very short shelf life. It is best not to invest or include more than 1-2 garments that are currently trendy in your wardrobe.
The wardrobe should be changed according to the season. For example in summer your wardrobe should include cool & comfortable clothing & in rainy season it should include clothing / fabrics that comfortable by dry faster.
An instant way to give your wardrobe a boost is to include some colors, especially if you are a kind of person who wears only beige, white, black, grey etc.
It is always best to leave a shelf empty in your wardrobe. This shelf can be used to hang clothes to be worn during the week. This way you will not waste time in the morning.
It is always better to go shopping with a list of items you need and a budget . Never go shopping for a new wardrobe clueless. You would only buy junk or pieces which will remain in your wardrobe for months.
Never be a fashion victim. All that is trendy or cool may not be the right for you. Understand your body shape, lifestyle & only then invest on it.
Invest in good quality clothing bags/ zipped bags so that you can store away clothing items that are not used regularly. This way you can maintain them.
Always make space in your wardrobe for accessories like - handbags, belts, jewelry etc. this way you don't waste time when putting an outfit together.
Never try to change your wardrobe in a single day. The best looking wardrobe is created over time. Invest a small amount every month on your wardrobe, this way you will never cross the budget.
