Are you following fashion blindly without customising it to suit your figure and colour? Uh-oh, you need to check your wardrobe again. Most often, a fashion statement is surrounded by hype and is a total flop when it comes to daily wear.
However stunning it may look on those super models parading down the ramp, you can hardly wear bright plumes or see-through garments to the office. Unless of course if you're masochistic and want to be at the receiving end of jokes. Check out the list of trends you would rather do without...
This bizarre creation of fashion gurus is a rage and is apparently created to keep your arms warm when wearing skimpy little tops. But these little 'sweater-wannabes' are basically just long arms.
And if you sport them, indeed you have to be a good sport because in all probability you'll look like as if you had squeezed into your kid sister's sweater.
Again a rage among the fashion gurus, who are stroking its ruggedness fondly and churning out anything and everything in them - from a boxy, cow-print bag to shoes to jackets. But somehow this particular rugged look is neither exotic nor elegant. It is rather coarse and best avoided.
Let's face it, ankle boots only look good with pants or long dresses and skirts. Sure, fashion rebounds. But a `ditto'1983 look is a definite no-no! Any time you can see a length of leg above an ankle boot, it's just screaming old-fashioned
This again had its day. Though it seem to have made a comeback this season, it's simply too early to recycle.
On some people turtleneck look stunning. But you are no Gwyneth Paltrow or Lauryn Hill. These bulky cables knit seem to swallow a lesser person. And a turtleneck that's sleeveless? What's the point?
If you are voluptuous forget it. And if you are skinny then it's not for you either. Tube tops seem to have a knack of highlighting your sore point and are best avoided.
Decide whether it's ethnic or modern look. This 'east-meets-west' combination somehow looks very sloppy. Avoid it at any cost.
