Dress Sense

Who are you? What do your clothes say about you? Are you chic and well dressed enough to give any screen actress a run for her money? Or, are you habitually so sloppy that people look right through you? Or maybe you are somewhere in between! No matter what your style normally is - make a promise to stay in vogue this season, with these hot tips.

Colours of the Season

Warm colours have set the tone this season. Bright tropical colours like orange and rich pastels are currently the flavour on ramps in New York, London, Paris and Milan.Tommy Hilfiger seems to favour candy pinks with white and orange this season while Ralph Lauren shows a partiality to strong pastels of the citrus yellow family.

A wardrobe with a good mix of warm colours and neutrals to set them off, will guarantee that you are up to date and fashionable, this time around.

The Right Fabric for You

Ruling the ramps right now are satin and chiffon. Simple cuts in satin dresses and tops in tones of peach or pink are perfect for party wear. With the Indian clime, cotton can never go out of style. Fill your wardrobe with saris, suits and westerns in these fabrics.

Which Patterns Do I wear?

Stripes, stripes and more stripes... select from pinstripes, broad stripes, or checks. Find the pattern that looks best on you. Or choose from jacquards and flower prints. Whether they are skirts, tops, dresses or trousers, the motifs in vogue are strictly floral or striped.

Trimmings and embellishments like crystals, sequins or piping for clothes are the current rage. Layered chiffon is likely to hold sway this summer.
