Oops!........I did it again. Britney Spears
Oops! we suffer again the onslaught of teen-queen, Britney. She's the 18 year old mega pop star who has set Prince William's heart all a throbbing and a million male hearts all a fluttering. She's the media darling, a music company's dream, a teenage boy's ultimate fantasy date. Um, she's also pretty, dances wonderfully, sings very well and to top it all, is a millionaire and the best selling songstress.

Is there anything we don't know about her? And so what if they're usually the wrong things? Did we really want to know she went in for breast augmentation, that she intends being celibate till she marries, that........hey, wake up and smell the roses? Half of the world loves Britney and who are we to argue with that?

But for now let's stick to reviewing her latest album, 'Oops!.....I did it again.' Her sophomoric effort is in the same mould as her debut album, 'Baby One More Time' but it's a whole load better. For a start, it's a huge step upwards from the inane teenage mumblings of the first album. Britney does have a good voice (she started off her singing career as a Mouseketeer for the Mickey Mouse Club Show) and she does have a better variety of songs to showcase her vocal talents in 'Oops!...... I did it again.'

Check out the catchy title track, the country music flavoured, 'Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know' and the irony laden 'Lucky'. One standout is Spears' cover of the Rolling Stones classic, 'I can't get no satisfaction'.

Rating: It's a far more mature effort from Spears. But let's face it, in the race to be crowned teen queen of the pop world, Christina Aguilera is streets ahead.
