Shaji Karun honoured by French Government

The French Government has honoured renowned Malayalam filmmaker Shaji N Karun by conferring the prestigious title of "Chevalier dans Ordre des Arts et Letters" (Knight of Letters and Arts), in recognition of his contribution to world cinema.
The honour is conferred on persons who have distinguished themselves by their creative endeavours in the fields of arts and literature or by their contribution to the diffusion of arts in France and in the world.
Shaji`s "Vanaprastham" picked up National awards for Best Male Actor (Mohanlal) and Best Feature Film this year.
