The Aryaans are a troika of unlikely musicians. Lead vocalist and lyricist, Jai Walia is known for composing music for TV serials. Lead guitarist, DJ Narayan is in the Indian Civil Service. Sadashivan (Sadu) plays the keyboards. In 'Yeh Hawa Kehti Hai Kya', Aryaans follow the tried and tested formula that served them well in their previous album, 'Ankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra'.

'Yeh Hawa Kehti Hai Kya' has soft melodies with lilting tunes. It is rendered in the gently beguiling voice of Walia. The title track sets the tone for the rest of the album. 'Yeh Hawa Kehti Hai Kya' is a slow, melodic number. 'She is amazing' presents a story with a surprise ending, while 'Mastana' is not too bad. The Aryans use a good mix of Indian instruments and quasi- Indian sounds in their music.

Rating: Fairly pedestrian offering. Might appeal to lovelorn adolscents with its sweetly cloying melodies. The group has carved out a comfortable musical niche for itself among puppy love stricken pre-pubescents, and there they seem happy to stay.
