`Bandar Bindaas Bandar` Various Artistes (Times Music) : This is a lovely album for children. It narrates the well known, `Karadi Tales` in song. The `Karadi Tales` are a huge hit among young Indian children who want to hear traditional, Indian folk tales. Stories from the Panchatantra, the Jataka tales and others from the rich storehouse of India`s oral tradition of storytelling find voice in this album. Never was there a better symbiosis of technology and tradition.
The stories are narrated/sung by well known vocalists like Anuradha Sriram and Udit Narayan. The music has been composed by `Three Brothers and a Violin`. The lyrics have been written by Gulzar.
Rating: Lucky Indian children! After being starved of entertaining Indian stories, they are now faced with a deluge of options. Tack along Sunil Shetty`s album of nursery songs to this effort, and you`re looking at a fairly crowded market of audio books! Great stuff though, kids will love this!
