For those of you who are wondering when - if ever-Mulder and Scully will eventually get round to hitting the sack, the answer, we can reveal, is that.. they've done it already! Viewers in the States were completely bewildered when, at the end of the present series, Scully discovers she's pregnant.

Who is the father, everyone wonders? Well, it turns out that Dad is none other than Fox Mulder himself and that the pair actually did the deed on Millennium Eve when they shared a kiss as the clock struck midnight. It now looks as if actress Gillian Anderson will have plenty of work on her plate playing an FBI agent and a single mother, without the support of David Duchovny, who will only be in half the episodes of the new series and have left by the end of it. Anderson doesn't seem to mind, however. Although only a couple of years ago, she hinted she was desperate to leave, she's signed on for yet another season. Could this have anything to do with the fact that she and Duchovny are not exactly the best of mates and she's happy to continue as long as he's not there? The truth is out there somewhere - but meanwhile, you be the judge!
