Jane Seymour, actress, received the 2001 Humanitarian Award from the American Red Cross for her role on television "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman". The show portrays the challenges faced by a 19th century frontier doctor.

Jane Seymour has been an international ambassador for Childhelp, USA, an organisation that seeks to protect children and prevent child abuse.
