A new deity- from reel life to real life.

Currently shooting for a film in which he plays the role of Lord Indra, Amitabh Bachchan is a now a bona fide God himself!

According to a PTI report, the Bollywood superstar's 'larger-than-life' idol is going to be installed in a Kolkota temple. The 12-feet marble idol, to be carved by a city sculptor, is just a part of the mega four-month-long Amitabh Utsav envisaged by the Amitabh Bachchan Fans' Association to be held from 'Guru Purnima' day on July fifth.

The temple, located near the city, would have a Bachchan museum annexed to it, storing rare memorabilia of the superstar -- photographs capturing him in private moods, little-found posters of blockbusters Deewar, Sholay and Silsila and first-day-first-show tickets of all his movies.

Entry to the Bachchan temple would be as unusual as the very concept -- anyone laying foot in this 'sacred abode' can chose from the options of reading Amitabh dialogues from books in place of hymns or listening to the star's cassettes on walkmans available at its premises.

There is a bumper 'Festival Bonanza' too. Fans are arranging a blood donation camp in aid of thalassaemic children in front of a city hall and the first 500 donors would get first day first show tickets of Bachchan's forthcoming movie Aks which is releasing on July 13.
