The Nehru Centre in London recently played host to a week long show of rare photographs of Ladakh. The photographer was none other than actress Deepti Naval. All proceeds will go to children's charity.

The consortium for street children, for whom Naval is raising funds, is a network of development agencies providing funding, training, technical and campaigning support to projects for children who live and work on the streets in the developing world and in eastern Europe

The pictures are deeply introspective and reflective. They capture the stark, frozen beauty of Ladakh. The exhibition moved to New York in April 2001.
