> Squeeze in a Workout!
With all the hectic work women do both in the house and at office, exercise usually gets relegated
to the bottom of the list of 'to dos'. Doctors and fitness experts however cannot lay enough stress on the importance of squeezing in a daily workout. Even one hour of fairly moderate activity like walking, swimming, leisure cycling or playing golf can help.
So how can you accommodate exercise into your daily routine?
- To begin with, make it a point to wake up at least a half hour earlier every morning. This will give you time to join your friends for a walk round the neighbourhood or maybe take your doggie for his morning constitutional. Just a brisk walk can prevent heart related problems and improve your metabolism and general physical fitness.
- If you are at work use the break time to go for a brisk walk " it can be just round the building or even climbing stairs between floors.
- Maybe you could involve the whole family in an after dinner walk. You could use the walk to exchange info about the happenings of the day.

- Use the gym facilities that most companies provide their employees these days at work. In fact, the management encourages its workers to give importance to physical fitness as it automatically will mean better performance.
- Learn to think small especially if you are a beginner. Begin with smaller increments of exercise spread t
hroughout the day " this way, you don't have to wait for a large chunk of time sometime during the day which might not happen at all. Three ten minute sessions will have the same effect as a half hour one. This way you build up a respectable health bank which will stand you in good stead. - Equip yourself properly. Invest in a treadmill or an elliptical. You can also use resistance bands in various tensions so choose the level that suits you best. Dumbbells will also help in exercising the upper body. Buy a yoga mat that you can carry with you so that you can fit in your yoga exercises whenever you find time. Equip yourself with any of the above and you will reap the benefits of exercising even in a week's time. You will feel fitter and definitely more flexible.
- Busy professional women often neglect their health until they fall inexplicably sick. If you don't take time off to look after yourself you will find that both your emotional and physical health is severely damaged. Care for your body the way it was meant to be cared for " in fact, make it a priority. Schedule time for exercise every day. We have but one body and one life in which to care for it.
