> How to make exercise a pleasure
Before you begin any exercise, it is advisable to get a green signal from your doctor. This way, you know you are doing something which is within your limits and capacity. Here are however, a few points that will be advisable for you to keep in mind.
- Proper exercise outfit and good shoes that can protect your feet against injuries are a must. Also, please remember that oversized T- shirts are a no-no. That's because your trainer should be able to see your body posture in order to correct any wrong movements you might make.
- It is good for you to try out any activity that you might zero in on for your fitness routine. If you feel walking, jogging, swimming biking, gym, aerobic classes, games like tennis or badminton is what you wan to do, try them out. The more variety you incorporate into your daily routine, the less boring it will be and more challenging. You will be working out new muscles ever day instead of falling into a boring routine which will only make your body give up. Just see to it that you put in passion into whatever you take up. - Whatever you decide upon, you should feel naturally inclined towards that activity. Do no attempt something that you are not comfortable with just because you've heard it is the in thing or because your best friend is doing it. Remember what your fitness goals are and also understand your body limits.
- Maybe you have tried exercising on your own, probably with a video for guidance only to give it up at some point of time. In that case, I is better for you to join a fitness class like aerobics, Pilates, yoga etc.
- If you are just starting out and feel pain while you are exercisig, remember that all beginners go through this. You might feel sore in the beginning but you must not give up.
- Once exercise becomes a routine, you might even begin to get discouraged if you can't work out once in a while. But a break in between always serves to improve fitness levels.
- Joining a gym or health club? Check out if they have qualified instructors and if the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Is the instructor able to do an evaluation of what you are capable of dong and is he able to chart out a customized program for you?
