> How to look your best on your wedding day
If you want to look good on the most important day of your life, remember that you have to plan your schedule much ahead so that the results show on your wedding day and you look great in all the photographs. However, there are a few things you have to keep in mind.
- Set yourself realistic goals. Calculate the number of kilos you would have to lose to achieve that desired figure and weight. You should be able to lose about 1 " 1 ½ kg a week with proper planning and effort. Do not set yourself highly unrealistic goals which will only serve to disillusion you totally.
-
Once you know how much weight you have to lose, give yourself a deadline according to the schedule above. If you have to lose about 10 kg, at 1 ½ kg a week you would need roughly 7 months to achieve your goal. Allow yourself some extra time for those days when you cannot follow your schedule either for dieting or exercise. Your final “look good" day should be at least 10 days before your actual wedding date.
- If you are not too overweight, about three or four 30-minute cardio sessions and an equal amount of strength training should be sufficient. But if you are really overweight, raise the bar accordingly. Add brisk walks to these sessions. Cut down on all high cal foods and heavy carbs. You just got to push yourself that much harder for good results.
- Gradually increase the intensity of the strength training and cardio workout so that there is no plateau.
- Keep complete track of your progress by keeping a diary exclusively for this. Write down your goal for each week and also how you have gone about it (which will include your diet). Once you have achieved the goal for that week, make a note of it " it sure calls for celebration!
- Your exercise room or gym will soon prove to be your haven amongst all the hectic activity that is going on around you. See that you concentrate on what you are doing, turn off your cell phone and keep your mind free of tension and worries.
- Having a positive attitude will make all the difference. Remain motivated and don't lose sight of your goal. You should wish real hard for you to feel intense about the whole thing.
- Take proper professional guidance about the required diet and exercise activity. You may not be able to do it on your own, especially if you are really overweight. It is a question of dealing with the problem holistically so that you are able to achieve the right symmetry and balance.
