For men:

  1. Find your weight in pounds and multiply it by 13.8. (If you weigh 68 kg, multiply it by 2.2 and you have it in pounds. 68 x 2.2x13.8= 2,064.48).
  2. Find your height in inches and multiply it by 5. (If it is 66 inches, 66x5 = 330).
  3. Multiply your age by 6.8 and subtract 68 from that product. (e.g. If you are 51; it is (51x6.8) 67=279.8).
  4. The sum of these three products will approximately give you the calories you need in a day. (2,064.48+330+279.8=2674.28 calories).

For women:

  1. Multiply your weight in pounds by 9.6.
  2. Multiply your height in inches by 1.8.
  3. Multiply your age by 4.7 and subtract the product from 655.
  4. Add the three products and the sum you get will approximately be the calories you need.
