Scaasi is one of the renowned fashion designers of America. The real name of Scassi is Arnold Issac. Scaasi was born in Montreal.
Scassi and Fashion Designing:
Scaasi was influenced by his aunt to take up a career in fashion designing . Scassi received his training in fashion designing from Cotnoir Capponi School of Design. He worked with the House of Paquin.
Charles James,a designer in New York absorbed him in his office. He received the experience of working as a fashion designer for two years.
Charles James had an impressive list of clients. Scassi honed his skills and learned the ropes of the trade during his tenure with James Charles.Scassi was a master in applying the vibrant hues and shades of colors in the clothes.
About Scassi:
Scaasi worked independently and some his works were used for advertising. The models wore the clothes designed by Scassi and the photographs were shot as a part of the advertisement assignment. The advertisements were published in the magazines in 1950.
General Motors,a renowned automobile manufacturing company, used his designs for creating the advertisements of the company. Robert Denning assigned the name Scassi to Arnold Issac.
Scassi designed the cover page of the renowned magazine Vogue in 1955.
The gorgeous red coat that was designed by Scassi became synonymous with his style of fashion designing.
Scassi started his business in 1956 and by virtue of his creativity and business acumen , he achieved success as an entrepreneur.
He received Coty Fashion Critics Awards in 1958. Some of his clients were wife of the president of United States of America and Mamie Eisenhower.
He changed his style of business in 1964 . He designed clothes on special orders. His exclusively designed clothes that catered to the elite section of the society. The clothes that were designed by Schiss bespoke of refined elegance and grace.
The wife of the president of United States of America wore the gowns that were designed by Schiss.
Barbara Streissand ,a renowned Hollywood actress, designed her dress from Schiss. The dress was worn by her during the Oscar awards ceremony.
He returned to his original business of selling ready- made clothes in 1980.
He even designed the dress of Barbara Bush , the wife of George Bush, the president of United States of America.
He experimented with his style of dress designing and created many new designs. Schiss was awarded for his immense contribution to fashion designing in 1997 by Council of Fashion Designers of America.
