Masala dosa is a well known South Indian delight popular throughout the country. It is mainly a form of very thin pan cake made of rice paste. Smashed potato decked with various spices form the filling for it. A dosa is generally served with sambar dal and coconut chutney. Today, the additional attribute will be chutney made of sesame seed and this will make the appetizer far yummier.

Ingredients

3 cups rice
1 cup white lentil
3 to 4 boiled potatoes
200 gm chicken
1 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp crushed cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tbsp crushed red chilli
1/2 tsp turmeric powder


Sesame Seed Chutney

1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
3 to 4 cloves of roasted garlic
1 cup roasted sesame seeds
3-4 roasted whole red chilies
1/2 cup tamarind paste
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Oil as per requirement


Preparation

The rice and the lentil need to be soaked in water for the entire night. The day after grind them into thick paste and add salt in it. Take 4 to 5 tbsp oil in a pan and put the mustard seeds and the curry leaves and then put chicken and cook it well. After that add the crushed cumin, turmeric, garlic paste, crushed red chilli, potatoes and salt in the pan and cook. After the mixture is cooked well take it out and take another pan and put some oil in it. Then spread the dosa batter evenly over the pan in circular motion. As the dosa starts turning brown, add the mixture of chicken and potato at the center and fold it both sides. Cook both the sides well. For the preparation of the sesame seed chutney, put the roasted sesame seeds, roasted garlic, roasted whole red chillies, roasted cumin seeds & tamarind paste in the blender. Put water in the blender and blend well. Take it in a bowl and serve it with the hot dosa.
