Goan cuisine is widely famous for its vast range of cuisines and their distinctive nature. Though Goan cuisines are very simple but they are cooked with some essential ingredients that enhance the taste of the food. The main characteristics of Goan cuisine are, they are very spicy as well as tangy in taste as well as in flavor. Spicy `sorpotel` and tangy pork `vindaloo` are the most famous Goan cuisines that are very popular like the Goan fish curry and rice. Coconut and fishes are the most essential ingredients that are found in most of the Goan cuisines. Apart from cuisines, Goa is the home to local liqueurs which are called `Feni`.

The spicy and chili hot nature of Goan cuisine attracts many tourists from all over the world. If you are a foodie, then you can try the Goan famous seafood which are really world class cuisines to eat. Crabs, lobsters, prawns and jumbo pomfrets are mainly used to prepare delicious seafoods. The state of Goa is not well known for its vegetarian cuisines. Most of the Goan people prefer lamb, chicken, prawns, fishes as their daily meals. Pork is usually used in the time of celebrating any festival in Goa.

Besides all the traditional Goan cuisines, for the people who prefer sweets, Goan cuisine feature the famous Bebinca which is a famous sweet of Goa. Bebinca is prepared by coconut milk with some sugar, flour and many other delicious ingredients.
