There was time once in long forgotten past when people were humble, their needs were not much hence the evil spirit had no chance of corrupting the pure hearts of the human civilization. The people were supportive to each other and the practice of being polite to both elders and juniors was followed to its core. But with time and advancement made by the human race the desires and wants have made man more corrupt, there is no unnecessary time left for the so called politeness in this society anymore. People who are polite are seen as weak and useless.

What human race has forgotten is that Politeness is a trait, a character which is deemed utterly necessary for any human being to make progress in life. There will be hardly any person on earth who likes to be ordered around, everyone want themselves to be respected. One can win many hearts by simply being little polite. It is no herculean task and can be achieved with utmost ease if only a small effort and dedication is put forth.

Earlier it was believed that only men tend to be rude and crude while making a conversation, but with modern day upbringing and evil effects of society the women are but giving a tough competition to men in rude behavior. There have been many instances when a tom boy type girl uses foul language and does not shy from insulting their elders. Some of the women of today have forgotten the very essence of politeness. Politeness means being gentle, being tender and having a happy welcoming approach of communicating with other fellow human beings. This very concept was devised on the feminine character but it seems the women themselves have forgotten this beautiful fragrance of life.

Politeness has become more so important for women who are working outside their houses. In Indian society the women working is in itself a hot gossip topic, now if the women is not polite enough with most of the people she has to encounter then there is maximum chances that her reputation will be tarnished in the society.

Being polite also helps working women in a lot other ways as well. Every boss loves and expects their subordinates to be polite with them. If a woman remains calm and polite then there are good chances of them getting recognition easily. There has never been questions raised about the sincerity of work done by working women, it is only the way of handling various situation which has to be learnt by women of today.

Working women have to be extra careful while participating in any kind of conversation. Not everything can go as one expects and there will be times when one will lose self-control and show some emotion of anger, but the art of being polite is what makes one a winner.  Most people will respect and follow women happily provided they are convinced and won by politeness and not by dominance and fake pride.
