Trades workers- A profile better fit for women

Trades workers are basically the term given to workers who are highly skilled in fields which require perfection and accuracy. One can also consider it as some sort of small business enterprise basically run by small families or woman in small groups. This type of home based work not only makes the women independent but also self sufficient in supporting the daily needs of the family. This in the longer run helps in building a better future for their siblings.

Small scale industries usually include handicrafts and other miniature products like statues and hand stitched accessories etc. The fact that women are more talented and well versed with this type of work should not come as a matter of surprise to anyone. Today’s women are very efficient and can trade like a man as a result they are climbing heights of success and has proven the fact that they are not less efficient than any men and can take on responsibilities very efficiently in whatever work assigned to them. In fact the very nature of women is built on care and handling things properly.

Some have raised questions asking if the trade worker profile was better suited for women workforce or not? The answer most people who do not want to hurt their male ego will object to this fact and believe that women are created by God only to look after house and remain busy in their household work. Making money and working as a trader is a man’s job. It is very unfortunate that even today there are people who do not want to give equal status to women and as a result many women are deprived of testing their abilities in different fields they are best suited for.

Woman workforce is a major player in tea plantation industry which again can be regarded as a subset of trade worker profile. The tenderness and effectiveness required to pluck tea leaves properly cannot be equaled by any man no matter how hard one tries.

Working as a trade worker also helps in improving the confidence level of women employee, and hence helping them believe that they are also very important in any industry. Many men whose wives are working as trades workers should be appreciated for allowing them to take on such task and become independent.

Most of the other industries like mining and construction are not suitable for women workers because of the immense physical effort that has to be put into it. Not all women get an opportunity to study and land up in corporate life, so the only other alternative which remains open for ladies is the work as trades workers.

One also has to keep in mind that no work how small it may be should be considered unimportant. Small drops of rain make a river in a similar footstep small contribution from trades workers help in manufacturing of better finished products which have very high demand in foreign countries.

The government has also taken major steps to help women forces join as trades workers. So one has to appreciate this effort and hope that in future also women choose trades worker as their proffered job profile.
