“Several decades have passed but hitherto the women populace hasn’t earned a reputable position in the society”. Prima facie the above statement may be what you all may corroborate but this is a stereotype which occupies a pertinent place among the elderly section of the society. Hackneyed are the notion that women still holds the veil and are born to serve the male she is married to till her last breathe and also fulfilling the auxiliary role assigned to her of just rearing and caring the kids blessed, all these were the role which a women fulfilled because she understood the intricacy of relations well but in no way she was incompetent to not step outdoors.
From saris to professional suites, from veils to head high and chin up posture, women have undergone a huge transformation. She understands her roles and in fact decides her roles for herself. Apart from the traditional jobs as a teacher and doctor, a woman of today has stepped out of the unconventional periphery and breathes free. The broken shackle speaks it all. The women today have not left any job option unexplored. Right from the anchor on the televisions sets to the one landing on the space all defines their roles beautifully. Today not only the female soul herself but even the society supports the feminine development, though not sounding as a female chauvinist but unraveling the facts which the governments statistics speak, that women are marching in all domains today be it- medical, IT, social work, defense, glamour or performing so very masculine task on the reality shoes like roadies, in all genres women has successfully set the foot hold in. Along with the jobs involving the mental exercise women have skillfully proved themselves by standing right beside several athletes and blending the physical and mental exercise, the women hockey team of India was the first one to get the world cup to the nation.
It’s difficult to segregate the jobs for women and jobs not for women as today there stands no line of demarcation where you and I can make this difference prominent, in fact this line is fading with each day success stories of females in various fields they have stepped into. Apart from this, the nation which is served by Ex President Mrs Pratibha Patil and Lok Sabha speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar, it seems unjustified to strictly specify that these jobs are designed for females and the rest for the males. The difference lies in the way the society perceives, this perception needs to be changed, as all this has to be viewed from different angles. When the perception changes, the society can beautifully see that no job can be overrated for women, the requisite is right tenaciousness and women can serve any genre with acumen.
