He is offered a wager that if villagers win, the taxes would be cancelled. Bhuvan, the impulsive character agrees to play the game with the rulers. The movie takes a turn from this time.

Bhuvan starts practicing the game of cricket which is not a familiar sport to villagers. He tries hard to convince the villagers to join him. Primarily they were not ready to support Bhuvan to this challenge, but his confidence, courage and assurance agree them to play the game. Elizabeth, the sister of Captain Russell helped them in their venture. Bhuvan's honesty, courage, personality make Elizabeth fall in love with him. The day of sport comes and after a hard battle the villagers win the game under the leadership of Bhuvan who takes the winning stroke. It is the positive attitude, guts, self-confidence and hard work of the young villager that enable him to reach his goal.
