Hindi cinema simply cannot be discussed without the unforgettable characters in Bollywood. They have a made a mark for themselves with their idiosyncrasies. The so popular "kitney admi the" or "ye hath hamko de de thakur" have attracted the people to watch these movies. The unforgettable characters in Bollywood are "unforgettable" because the actors have done their best to portray these roles. The way of rendering the dialogues, voice modulation and their costumes - everything had played important role in making these characters popular among the masses.

Some of the unforgettable characters in Bollywood are discussed below. Take a look to know more:

Gabbar Singh in Sholay: When we are trying to list the unforgettable characters in Bollywood, we cannot forget Gabbar Singh. This character has defined the concept of villain in a new way. This role was played by Amjad Khan and portrayed the character of dacoit in film. This film also helped him to win the "Best Actor in Supporting Role". It was said that he was in sync with the character.



Mogambo in Mr. India: One of the unforgettable characters in Bollywood is Mogambo. This character was an important part of Mr. India, a science fiction film. Amrish Puri played the character of Magambo. This was one of his most-remembered performances and the character of Mogambo was loosely modeled on the Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Babu Moshay in Anand: The character of babu moshay in Anand was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan. He plays the role of a doctor who is disillusioned by his country, its poverty and grief. The dialogues of the film were penned down by the poet-lyricist Gulzar. The music of the film was composed by the legendary Salil Chowdhury.

Raju in Guide: The character of Raju in Guide was portrayed by Dev Anand. In this film, Dev Anand delivered one of his most sensitive and subtle performances. He showed the passion and maturity that was required in to depict this character. With time, this character became so popular that it was rated among the unforgettable characters in Bollywood.

Kabir Khan in Chak De: The role of Kabir Khan was played by Shahrukh Khan in Chak De. He played the character of a hockey player who fails miserable but succeeds as a coach for the girls hockey team. He inspires the team to win the World Cup Finals against the defending champions, Australia. The dialogues delivered by Kabir Khan are very inspiring and heart rendering.
