Sunidhi Chauhan is one of the youngest and popular singers in Bollywood. She came into highlight after she sang 'Zindagi' for the Ram Gopal Verma's film "Mast".The music director Sandeep Chowta gave Sunidhi Chauhan her first break. From a very young age she has achieved much success. She launched her solo album called Aira Gaira Nathu Khaira. In the year 2001, she won the RD Burman award for most promising newcomer.
Sunidhi Chauhan started singing at the tender age of four. She participated in many competitions and won then too. When Television host Tabassum spotted her for her singing talents, she asked her family to shift to Mumbai to have a better singing career. Her family soon landed up in Mumbai to fulfill her dreams. She gained huge popularity through the various competitions in which she participated. She has performed in many TV shows all over India. In the musical show "Meri Aawaz Suno" where she was awarded the "Lata Mangeshkar Trophy" for the best female singer of India.
She got her first break in a Hindi film Shastra which was followed by followed by Gang, Veergati, Dahek, Bade Dilwala, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Samar and Mission Kashmir. She never had any formal training before she took part in various national singing competitions. The legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was impressed by her singing talents when she won on the award for
the musical show "Meri Aawaz Suno" which was telecasted all over India.
After singing some of the hit songs for the film "Mast" there was no turning back in the career of Sunidhi Chauhan. Sunidhi Chauhan is best known for her matured voice, though she is very young. The songs from the film Chameli became instant hit for the song "Bhaage Re Mann" and today she among the versatile singers of Bollywood after Asha Bhosle. Talking about Bollywood, she is one of those talented singers who have a great voice.
She has also sung many English songs like "Reach Out" at the inaugural ceremony of the Asian Games in the year 2006 at Doha, Qatar. She has also sung the songs for the Indian version of the famous Hollywood film High School Musical. She has sung the songs of Vanessa Anne Hudgens in the English version.
