Kishore Kumar is regarded as one of the evergreen singers ever seen in the Bollywood. After some initial flops, Kishore Kumar achieved success as a comic hero with movies like New Delhi (1956), Aasha (1957), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Jhumroo (1961), Half Ticket (1962), and Padosan (1968). It was music director S. D. Burman who spotted Kishore Kumar's talent as a singer though in the following years his collaboration with R D Barman led to the creation of chart buster songs which are still popular.
